Late Valentine's Fun

We had a few friends visiting before Valentine's day. Noah, Drew, and Jonah came over and we had lots of fun playing and decorating sugar cookies.

Here is my latest project. I found a superhero cape pattern @http://pukingpastilles.com/?p=57 I modified the pattern because I wanted a little more cape to hang. I think they turned out pretty cute. James isn't sure that he wants to wear his yet but when Warren puts his on there is no stopping him. Not a traditional Valentine gift but I think the boys liked them!

Now if I can just finish my levi quilt project:~)

Scrapbooking is hazardous to my health

Today I was trying to finish up a gift and wasn't paying close enough attention to my children. Thank heaven James found Warren's markers and not mine.

You know you've really moved into motherhood when you grab the camera when things like this happen. But Warren decided that James was getting all of the attention so he tried to color himself while I was taking pictures of James. Hee Hee I guess I'm teaching a few lessons I didn't mean to today.

James managed to color the inside of his nose and mouth too. Oh the fun:)
I'm so glad I invested in a spotbot while I was pregnant with James. He had managed to get it in my carpet too.

Let it Snow!

Old man winter finally sent us wet snow today. Greg helped Warren make a huge snowman in the backyard today. Frosty is so big I had to help Greg lift the center ball on. Of course Greg is sick so that is why he didn't do it himself. But it's one big Frosty.

We took a few pictures after family home evening last night. Warren had so much fun decorating his I am a Child of God crown.

The Confession of a Chocoholic

While working on primary items yesterday I sort of lost track of my children. It all started with Warren finding the box of chocolate pudding. Well you can see how it ended. First I smelled poopy diapers, so I came out to investigate. For once I laughed and found a camera. Have I been a mother for a while or what?

It sure feels good to have Christmas put away. Saturday we spent most of the day taking down the tree and lights and then we cleaned the garage. Glad we got it done then because we woke up to a white winter wonderland this morning. I just love it when it snows and covers up the world. Everything looks clean and pretty for a while.

A little of this and that

I can't believe I forgot to take pictures on Christmas. First I set up the video camera @ our house and then totally forgot to take regular pictures. Then we walked out the door without the camera! So the only pictures I have of Christmas are courtesy of my mom. Bless her heart. I can't believe I missed out on pictures of sledding out on the farm. We had so much fun. Warren thought it was great and didn't even get upset when I dumped our sled and he went into the snow head first. Good times!!!
How is it that baby boys always have the most beautiful eyelashes. He's just a doll. I really enjoy this age. All except the I can't talk so I'll just screech at you part:)

Warren has entered the WHY stage. I have never answered so many questions in a day. Occasionally Greg and I just say I don't know son. He is so much fun. Earlier this morning he picks up a cord and says, "Mom I'm just curious about cords." It made me laugh. I think the correct statement is I'm just curious about everything. He begged for watermelon the other day so I caved in and bought a personal size one. "Mom that one is not big" Warren informed me. Everything is supposed to be big and for heavens sake RED!!!!

Oh the perturbed kitty cat. Our bird feeder is driving the cat crazy. Most days this is where she can be found, ears back and tail flying.

Happy Thanksgiving and A Few Stitches

We had a great Thanksgiving. We spent a lot of time out at Greg's parents. They butchered their pigs and we came home with lots of wonderful meat. What great in-laws I have! Here are a few pictures from the family fun. We had a bonfire, complete with smores! Life is good when chocolate and fire and family are involved!

Warren has had his first offical medical issue. Yesterday morning I woke up to find him dressed and downstairs. He has figured out how to open the gate at the top of the stairs. Sigh!!! I came into the living room and sat down. Not two seconds later he ran across the dining room to let the cat in the sliding glass door. He slipped and spun. Then his head connected with the barstool. I knew before I even stopped hugging him that there would be blood. He is the proud owner of 3 stitches right by his left eyebrow. Poor kid. We had to wrap him in a burrito at the ER to get the stitches in.

We spent Monday putting up Christmas lights. I got the boys all bundled up to go out. They looked so cute. Then we get out and it's 50 degrees. I about boiled them! Warren has made it his job to plug in the lights every night. When he wakes up he's mad that someone has unplugged them!

We had a primary activity day a few weeks ago. I just have to throw in a few pictures.
