She thinks my tractors sexy????

Well, serviceable, but certainly not sexy. Well, we are officially looking like county folk! I can't wait for Greg to fill in the mud hole in the driveway. Now if only we could replant all our grass with the tractor:)

Yeah! New carpet.

Warren really wanted red carpet. Oh boy was he excited when the installer put the pad down. Ever wondered what your house would look like with red carpet?

It nice to have a room almost put together. Looking forward to having the shelves finished. Greg is also building in a wood box underneath the shelves. Way cool!

TEACHING CHILDREN OR WHAT?

Am I the only one who shakes my head in wonder. I could have fed the cat and been done in 2 minutes, but no, we have chores around here. Of course these chores turned into more of a cleaning project. The boys really did have fun and the cat always thinks the food is best right out of the container:)

A little light remodeling......Hmmmm

Well, the demo has begun and we are living in our mess. We've done multiple projects. Here are a few pictures of our journey.

James and Warren helping Daddy stain the new window frame for the window that was damaged after we moved in.

Daddy's work crew.
Our slate hearth pad Greg laid for the new wood stove.
Greg building our first fire.I AM WOMAN. SEE MY FIRE ROAR.
After smoking the house out the first morning, I have finally redeemed myself tonight. I'm almost too hot. Just had to document this for posterity!

Greg is tearing out the gas fireplace and is going to build a bench and shelving into the shell that is left. I can't wait to have a place to put the fire wood away.

My project for tonight was to tear out our old carpet in the living room. We are having it install downstairs tomorrow morning and new carpet will be installed in the living room on Monday. We don't want to get bored!

Home Sweet Country Home

We did it! And here it is. We bought this 4200 sq ft. home on 5.13 acres. Yes I know, that's a big house. It was all about the land Greg wanted and we just happened to get a huge house with it. It's fun having somewhere to put it all away. Plus the view is just breathtaking. You can see from Bogus Basin all the way around to the Owyhee's. So if I feel blue, I just look out my windows. We're loving our ward and especially being in a ward with the Mathieson's. We couldn't be luckier! Now to find a window washer........ The view from the road.
View from the living room into the kitchen and above is the master bedroom.

The solarium on the main floor.

The family room downstairs. The moving day mess! We had soo much help. We are truly blessed. Anyone who shows up and works all day with you is a true friend!

The cat has been exploring the shelf in the living room

The boys hanging out on the stairs. They've already broken a cup playing up here.
We got to make some improvements before we moved in. Here is my new jetted tub in the master bathroom. Really should have had a before picture but it was put it before the house was really ours. The old tub didn't have a pump and would have leaked everywhere. The tub was also cracked.

Warren Started Preschool in January too. He is doing so well and enjoys every minute.

Missing in Action

Okay, I admit it, I disappeared from blog land. Something had to give and this was it. So Just to keep things interesting I thought I'd show you what we've been doing for the last few months. We sold our home. Believe it or not! We are on a quest to find the perfect new home. One complete with a bigger house and preferably 5 acres. We've tried these 2 so far. One was falling apart and the other we were outbid on. So the battle goes on.
Falling apartOut Bid:(

For now we are living in our friends house. A little confusing because it is our exact house but flipped. The first week I almost walked into a wall and I'm still trying to open the single style cupboards on the wrong sides. This morning Warren tried to run to the front door to go to the bathroom because that was the direction of the old ones. I'm not crazy, see my family is doing strange things also!

Had to add this adorable picture of my boys. James is in a take his clothes off stage. I think it should align with a potty training stage too. Hey the clothes are already off, why not go!

$2.15!!

I'm going to toot my own horn for just a minute. I got all of this for $2.15. Not to shabby. Can I just say that I love Target!

St. Baldrick's

Greg decided to participate in St. Baldrick's this year. He and 16 other officers all had their heads shaved to raise money for kids with cancer. Greg can't get used to his own image in the mirror yet, but from the back or side I can't even tell!So for everyone who's ever wondered why our kids heads look like they do.... look no further:)

Here's a little more for ya... Sorry I shake a little!
